FEAST FOR FAMINE
This annual Albany fundraiser, usually held in May, features fine food and beverages from dozens of the area’s finest restaurants and wineries. To become a member of the host committee or to purchase tickets, please call our Albany office.

FIT FOR FOOD
Hunger Action Network's Fit for Food exercise-a-thon is a way for people to support our work by pledging to exercise during the week of Thanksgiving. You can go to the health club that you already belong to and get your friends and family to support your efforts by making a pledge. The objectives of Fit for Food are to raise public awareness about hunger in our communities--including promoting access to nutritious fruits and vegetables for low-income families--and to raise funds to support Hunger Action Network's work to end hunger in New York State.

The event is a call especially to those who are health conscious and to the health community to learn more about the risk of hunger and of poor nutrition to low-income families. Lack of adequate access to affordable nutritious food is a health issue that needs to be addressed. The existence of hunger amongst our midst is a year-round problem, however, it is during the Thanksgiving holidays that hunger is more so at the forefront of our thoughts. Many New Yorkers want to do something to help -- Fit for Food, an exercise-a-thon fundraiser -- is one such way. To register to obtain a copy of the brochure, call our NYC office.

Any donation you send to us in March or April will get some of Philanthropist Alan Shawn Feinstein’s challenge money from Rhode Island added to it – the more of a donation you send, the more of the Feinstein money Hunger Action Network will get.

DONATE YOUR USED CAR

Please consider donating your used car to Hunger Action to support our work. There’s not much work involved for you. Simply call our office, we’ll get the information from you, mail you the form, then someone from the Vehicle Donation Assistance Program will come pick up your car. Hunger Action will receive the donation for the amount the car is sold for and you will receive a tax deduction acknowledgement letter with the sale price.
