September is Hunger Action Month, and in St. Lawrence County hunger action is still needed. Get your sneakers ready for our Fight Hunger Fair and 5K at Canton’s Village Park on Sunday, September 18th, 2022 from 12:30-3:30pm!
The Fight Hunger Fair and 5K is a new combined GardenShare event that brings together the presentation of the 2022 Growing Community Award, Hunger Action Month activities, and GardenShare’s annual Fight Hunger 5K.
Registration for the 5K is now open! The race will begin at Canton’s Village Park around 1:00pm; runners and walkers of all ages and levels are encouraged to participate. You may sign up as an individual or create a team with your family, friends, coworkers, or teammates. Donations can also be made through RunSignUp to individuals and teams.
Not able to join us in person? You can still participate! Sign up online and complete the race wherever and whenever you’d like. If you’re not able to run but would still like to support the 5K, consider donating to an individual or team!
Not interested in running/walking? Join us in the park for family fun activities, live music, and information and resources from our community partners. There’s something for everyone!
