In this intensive (but easy-to-understand) on-demand course, you will learn how to counsel Hispanic patients with confidence and expertise. Over the course of nine modulesโone per weekโyouโll become more culturally proficient at working with the six most significant Hispanic subgroups in the United States: Mexicans, Guatemalans, Salvadorans, Puerto Ricans, Cuban, and Dominicans.
Youโll get crucial information on Latin foods and traditions, and a deeper insight into Hispanic health and culture. Youโll hear from program speakers from each of these countries and territoriesโand learn from their experiences and expertise as registered dietitian nutritionists and diabetes care and education specialists. Youโll even cook along with them. Youโll also learn from a food anthropologist whoโll discuss nutrition, health, and migration and youโll learn from lived medical experiences from Hispanics living with diabetes.
Youโll know how to improve patient satisfaction, help them achieve their health and nutrition goals, and give yourself the tools you need to counsel and nurture Hispanic cultural traditions. And there will be practical, hands-on activities you can apply right after you learn each one.
Youโll also receive over $500 in bonuses to support and accelerate your learningโAND qualify for 15 ethics approved CEUs! And, of course, once youโre done, youโll have lifetime access to all the modulesโฆ So you can review and refresh your knowledge whenever you want. Learn more at the link below!

The Teaching Kitchen Collaborative (TKC) is a network of thought-leading organizations using teaching kitchen facilities as catalysts of enhanced personal and public health across medical, community, school, and corporate settings.
Joining as a TKC member gives you access to 4 webinars a year (with CEUs available); discounted registration to the Teaching Kitchen Research Conference; and resources including case studies, set-up descriptions, lesson plans, and more.
The TKC is now offering a new tier of membership, the Kitchen Catalyst, which is intended for people generally interested in joining the teaching kitchen movement, whether itโs of personal interest, youโre considering starting a teaching kitchen, or youโve already embarked on this journey in your practice.
Be sure to join the TKC before their next webinar that will be taking place on Friday, September 30th at 1:00 pm ET / 10:00 am PT*! There’s a great lineup of speakers who will be talking about the “basics of teaching kitchen programs” including:
โข Key curricular components in teaching kitchen programs
โข What to consider during the planning, execution and follow up of a program
โข What resources are out there to help with planning?
โข Inspiration, lessons learned and practical tips from existing teaching kitchen programs
*All members will receive a recording of the event in a future email. Dietitians and dietetic technicians, registered, who attend live are eligible to receive 1.0 CPEU.
