For the past few months, we’ve been telling you about the many ways United Way of the Greater Capital Region is HERE FOR GOOD. Far more than a catchy slogan, HERE FOR GOOD underscores the impact of our work in the community, our staying power as a community partner for nearly a century, and our geographic reach in the Capital Region, which grew to include Montgomery County this past spring.
Thanks to our network of more than 100 community-based organizations, UWGCR is able to quickly mobilize the caring power of our community and direct resources to areas that will have the greatest positive impact. We’re uniquely poised to respond with expertise, passion, and innovation throughout ALL eight counties of the Greater Capital Region.
Relying on data to identify our region’s greatest needs, we follow proven best practices to drive strategies that tackle the needs of each individual community. We are flexible and quickly adapt to address needs as they change.
All undesignated contributions raised in the Capital Region, stay in the Capital Region, supporting hard-working households that are experiencing economic hardship throughout Albany, Columbia, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, and Schoharie counties.
