• 𝗡𝗬𝗦 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗛𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
Early in May, the New York State Legislature and Governor Hochul passed the New York State Budget. The FY2024 budget included many critical anti-hunger initiatives, including expanded access to free school meals and increased funding for NOEP. We applaud the representatives and advocates who helped move New York forward in becoming a state where no one goes hungry.

The Hunger Solutions New York team went to Washington, D.C., in early May to attend the National Anti-Hunger Policy Conference hosted by FRAC and Feeding America. From California to New York, leaders from food banks, government bodies, nonprofits, and more came together to discuss how to improve food access to the countless Americans who need it.

Quite a lot has been going on at Hunger Solutions New York! Over the past few months, we welcomed several new employees, including Delsy, Dan, Shane, and Cara. Additionally, employees, new and old, volunteered for the Patroon Land Farm, which helps produce food for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York.
