“New York Students have been waiting far too long for educational justice, said Jasmine Gripper, executive director, Alliance for Quality Education. “Rochester City School District just laid off over 150 educators mid-year and yet Governor Cuomo refuses to fully fund the state’s Foundation Aid formula. This refusal has lead to record inequity in New York’s schools and opportunities denied to Black students, Brown students, immigrant students and low income students. It’s time to reverse the inequity and invest our children.”
