The Schenectady Foundation is excited to introduce a transformative initiative poised to make a meaningful difference in our community โ€“ the Schenectady County Food Council!

This collaborative effort, supported by numerous organizations and community members, is committed to developing policies and practices to make Schenectady County food-secure. The Council will involve all aspects of the local food system: retailers, consumers, farmers, food production and distribution, and faith and social sector organizations.

For children, the rate rises even higher to 15.7%, which is 7.5% above the national average. Our commitment to reversing these statistics is unwavering.
