National School Breakfast Week (NSBW) is next week: March 4-8! Hunger Solutions New York and No Kid Hungry New York invite you to join us in celebrating school breakfast and the school nutrition professionals who work hard to ensure access in New York.
New Yorkโs kids need consistent access to a nutritious meal every morning to be ready for a day of learning. In districts across the state, more schools than ever are now able to offer breakfast at no cost to all students through CEP. Yet barriers to traditional breakfast, served in the cafeteria before the start of the school day, can still keep kids from eating their morning meal at school. Schools can leverage Breakfast After the Bell to improve access and maximize participation. Innovative service models such as Breakfast in the Classroom or Grab and Go can meet kids where they are and cut down on time constraints to ensure they have time to eat!
This National School Breakfast Week, we are highlighting the creative ways school breakfast programs are nourishing students and how you can share the impact your program makes in your community!
