The Food Summit is a biennial event organized by The Alliance for a Hunger Free New York. The event is designed to bring together food assistance providers, academics, advocates, and communities across New York. The all-day symposium-style event aims to educate and share best practices, research, and innovations in hunger relief efforts.

The Food Summit will be held on 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, at the Armory of Russell Sage College in Albany. We are expecting 400 in-person participants and 500 virtual participants.

Focus areas for discussion are:
• Strengthening the Food Assistance Networks
• Food as Medicine
• Anti-Hunger Advocacy and Action

NY Health Foundation Conference Scholarships
Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis year round, but must be submitted at least six weeks before the conference start date or they will not be considered for funding. (May 1 for this event)

Funding Range: $2,000 per person for up to 2 attendees (max $4,000)

Eligibility: Non-profits, health departments, community-based organizations, and other low-resource organizations located in the state of New York are eligible to apply. Application attending the conference must be employed through one of those organizations. NY Health Foundation will provide funding for organization staff to attend regional, state, or national level conferences. Grant funds may be used to cover registration fees, travel and lodging, and incidentals for attendees while at the conference.
