Yesterday, The Food Pantries for the Capital District joined friends, colleagues and partners for the 32nd Annual People’s State of the State organized by The Alliance for a Hunger Free New York. It was a great day of advocacy work in support of Emergency Food Relief Programs (Food Pantries, Soup Kitchens)!
With increased service levels across NY, a recent NYS Dept of Health report confirming that 1 in 4 NY adults are food insecure, and stagnant State funding for essential programs Nourish NY and HPNAP, our state government must do more!
